Angela Lena Bazemore

Angela Lena (Hill) Bazemore, daughter of the late Alexander and Delsia Hill, was born in Portsmouth, VA on February 27, 1962, or February 26,1962 according to some. She was so special she had two birthdays. She entered her eternal life on Friday, March 13,2026 at Maryview Medical Center. Angela was educated within Portsmouth Public Schools and then worked for Portsmouth Public Schools food service for 30 plus years until she was unable to do so anymore. She joined in holy matrimony on May 8, 1981, to James Bazemore, the love of her life. Although she didn’t like him when they first met, he was determined that Angela was going to be his wife. Forty-five years later they were inseparable. You did not see one without the other. She was known for her sweet, humbling spirit, touching everyone who came in contact with her. This is one extraordinary woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She leaves behind generational wealth as it was passed down to her by her mother. She leaves behind her kindness, faith, dedication, humbleness, forgiveness, strength, encouragement and so much more than this paper can hold. Angela adored her family and loved church. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Church of God in Christ for her whole life and served the Lord at all times. She was worried about other’s well-being in the midst of her own crisis. There was not a selfish bone in her body. She didn’t like to speak in public, but her presence said it all. Angela is survived by her loving husband, James Bazemore. From this union there are three children. Taurean Bazemore (Simone), Tenieccia Franklin (Termaine), Teneeka Bazemore (Lyric). Three grandchildren, Shahday, Stefan and Seven. Seven siblings, Wallace (Dorthy), Ruby (Jay), Raymond (Debbie), Alexander Jr. (Angela), Kevin (Betty), Sharon (Joseph), Lakesha (Garrick) and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends. Angela will forever remain in our hearts; she will never be forgotten and always missed. The one and only, no one can compare. Suffering and pain are no more; heartache and worry are no more. Take your rest until we meet again. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. These difficult times will not fade but will become easier to manage after a while and by and by.
